United States Census 2010 - It's in our hands

Census Home - How it Works - Why it's Important - Privacy and Confidentiality - Get Involved

The U.S. Census counts every resident in the United States, and is required by the Constitution to take place every 10 years.  The 2010 Census will help communities receive billions of dollars in federal funds each year for things like:

Any Personal data you provide is protected under Federal Law.

  • Hospitals
  • Job training centers
  • Schools
  • Senior centers
  • Bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects
  • Emergency services

The data collected by the census also help determine the number of seats your state has in the U.S. House of Representatives. We can't move forward until you mail it back.

The results of the 2010 Census have been released and will be used to update our Township Master Plan, later this year.

Our Township growth from 2000-2010 was only 24, an increase of 1.5%
